Welcome, welcome! I’m going to use this space to explore journal-style comics, random thoughts, and weird doodles in an effort to justify a paid tier for this Substack account. I very much appreciate you coming along for this experiment!
… but I’ll endeavor to do my best to keep it interesting and authentic! One of my all time favorite comic strips, and both my boys loved it too, is Jim’s Journal by Scott Dikkers. Almost nothing really happens in it and yet we loved reading it and being immersed in Jim’s mundane world. Like comfort food for the soul. So hopefully I can provide something even relatively close to that experience. Regardless of how meandering some of these entries get you will at least be treated to…
It’s true.
Rare is the time, that I don’t feel like sketching my pugs, Skipper and Anchovy. So expect a ridiculous amount of pug drawings and doodles and you won’t be disappointed.
I hope to post here at least once a week going forward. Again, I want to thank you for your generosity and curiosity as we take this journey together. You are the best. I mean it.
